Happy Homes Animal Rescue is a no-kill, volunteer-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It strives to help reduce the unnecessary euthanization of cats and kittens in New Jersey & New York. After realizing the need to support the high volume of stray cats and kittens in the NYC/NJ area, Happy Homes founder, Elaine Brodsky, began rescuing animals and in her first year, 2012, was able to save over 100 cats. This success inspired Elaine to drastically increase those numbers by starting her own rescue.
We rescue cats and kittens from shelters and outdoors, bringing them to safe indoor environements. We are also heavily involved in TNR efforts in the Old Bridge, NJ area. We rely upon donations to run our organization so thank you in advance for your help. We are always looking for new fosters and volunteers so please get in touch!
A message from Elaine: 17 years ago I met the love of my life, my cat Payton. She was my first pet and suffered medical problems all of her life but she gave me a love and passion for all animals but specifically cats Caring for Payton was difficult and overwhelming but I never stopped loving her. She gave me 17 wonderful years and in her honor, I vowed I would carry on my love for her by rescuing cats, directly crediting her with thousands of cats and kittens rescued. I realized if i wanted to grow and save more lives, I needed to open my own rescue and carry on Payton's legacy. I call my rescue, Happy Homes, because without my beloved cats, I wouldnt have as happy as a home as I do!
In loving memory of Payton 1995-2012
